Phoenix office expands
By Michael Cooper, Managing Partner
Kincannon & Reed announces the opening of an expanded office in the Phoenix, Arizona, area. The company is now better positioned to serve the growth industries of food, agribusiness, and life sciences in the southwest United States. "The Southwest is investing to attract business talent in areas that align well with our firm’s expertise and industry focus," says Managing Partner Michael Cooper, who opened Kincannon & Reed's Phoenix practice in 2004. "Consequently, we are adding three new managing directors here to be able to serve these growing organizations."
- John Reasner: John brings broad human resources experience and expertise to Kincannon & Reed, from startups to sophisticated global operations. He is a graduate of Monmouth College. John will provide leadership over the foodservice and related industry sectors.
- Jim Longnecker: Jim comes to Kincannon & Reed from the consumer products manufacturing sector. Most recently, he led a manufacturing organization responsible for over 30 contract manufacturers around the globe which produced food and household products. Jim has an Industrial Engineering Degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Western Illinois University. Jim will lead our US-based efforts to expand the food and processing equipment sectors.
- Paul Miller: Paul brings extensive leadership experience in entrepreneurial roles in food processing and distribution. He profitably grew a small commercial bakery into a national player as President/CEO. Paul’s earlier career was centered in the meat processing industry where he directed operations at three facilities in two states. Paul holds an MBA from Harvard and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from Cornell and Michigan State respectively. Paul will focus on consumer food products, dairy, and bakery sectors.
The new Phoenix area office is under the leadership of Michael Cooper, Managing Partner. Cooper commented: "From alternative energy to algae production to new cures for devastating diseases, our firm looks forward to partnering with growing food, agribusiness and life science companies in their search for talent not only in the Southwest, but around the globe."
