David Turner and Jon Leafstedt Look Back on 40 Years of Kincannon & Reed

For Kincannon & Reed, 2021 is a year of celebration.  We turn 40 this year, and taking time to reflect on the changes, but more importantly looking to the future.

President David Turner, and Managing Partner, Jon Leafstedt recently sat down to reflect on the growth of Kincannon & Reed and the evolution of the food and agriculture industries.

Over the past 40 years, K&R has placed a significant number of leaders across the globe.  The organization has continued to evolve.  Early logos and tag lines focused on our international experience and we were focused almost exclusively on the Agribusiness sector.

Today, the triangle is significant in our logo and reflects our past and celebrates our future.  We bring our industry and search expertise from the past forward, and continually fine tune our skills and services to help companies during critical transitions.

Our current logo illustrates the strength of our networks and proprietary database. We work to bring equilibrium to client searches and balance candidate skills and personality with corporate culture, resulting in one of the highest retention rates in the search industry.  Finally, our logo represents connectivity as we build strong organizations by bringing people together.

Today, our business not only stretches across the globe but also the entire food value chain.  We are actively involved in placing leaders in both the food and agriculture industries in executive and senior level roles.

While the numbers of Kincannon & Reed may look different today than the dozen or so leaders we placed per year 40 years ago, our commitment and values remain the same.  We are proud to exclusively focus on serving clients in food and agriculture.  This focus will be one thing that we hold constant in the 40 years to come.
