This Privacy Policy explains how Kincannon & Reed (“Kincannon & Reed”) collects, uses, and discloses individually identifiable information (“personal information”) that we obtain through our recruiting and business development efforts, our website, and other means. WHO WE ARE
Since 1981, Kincannon & Reed has provided retained executive search for organizations around the world in the food, agribusiness, and life sciences sectors.  As a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), Kincannon & Reed abides by AESC’s Best Practices Guidelines for Conduct on Data Protection specifically in response to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because of the very nature of executive search, the confidential processing of personal data is an inherent part of the service we provide to our clients and candidates. Kincannon & Reed has a legitimate business interest in the use of personal data to present individuals with career opportunities of which they would otherwise not be aware. Kincannon & Reed’s use of personal data has intrinsic value to individuals through presenting them with opportunities to advance their careers.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect various categories of personal information through various public and subscription-based internet sites and on this website. If you submit an inquiry or question via an online form or email, we may collect your name, email address, or other personal information contained in that correspondence. If you are a potential candidate, we may collect your name and contact details, information about your employment objectives, past and current employment and professional experience, educational background, language skills, and other data that you provide through a form or a resume or CV. If you are a client or potential client, we may collect your name, contact details, title or position, products or services requested, or other information that you provide via conversations, online forms, or email correspondence. We do not collect any “sensitive” personal information, such as racial or ethnic origin, age, political, religious, or philosophical beliefs, sexual life, social security or other government identification numbers, trade union membership, health or medical conditions, or criminal history unless legally required for recruiting purposes.

If you are a potential candidate, we may use the personal information you provide, or that we discover through research, to evaluate your qualifications as a candidate; contact you for further personal information; contact named references, and communicate with clients about you as a potential candidate.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share personal information with our Principals and Researchers when necessary or appropriate in connection with the performance of our executive search or other services. Personal information about executive search candidates and/or clients is included in our secure internal company database for these purposes and is accessible only by our team. A list of such team members is available on our website. We may also share personal information with our clients located in jurisdictions around the world as necessary or appropriate to provide them with retained executive search services.

We reserve the right to share personal information with our business partners or to support marketing or other communication initiatives by our firm, such as our digital newsletter. We reserve the right to share personal information in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer of all or part of the business, or where such disclosure may be required by law or is appropriate in connection with any legal claims. We may also use, disclose, or otherwise process any information for statistical or any other purposes that we choose in our sole discretion when such information is not in personally identifiable form.

In addition, where we disclose personal information to clients and our business partners mentioned in the foregoing paragraphs, we request that they properly protect the security and confidentiality of such information and otherwise process such data in accordance with applicable law.

ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
Kincannon & Reed wishes to maintain accurate, current, and complete personal information about all individuals in our database and systems.

If personal information that was previously provided has changed, individuals may update their information using the “Submit your Resume/CV” link on our website. Individuals may also request access and the opportunity to review the personal information that we maintain by sending us a written request at our postal address or email us at privacy@krsearch.com. After authenticating the requestor’s identity, we will provide the requestor with such information within 30 days, and amend or delete such information upon their request, to the extent required under applicable data protection and privacy laws.

The Kincannon & Reed website may provide links to other third-party internet sites. Despite these linkages or any references to Kincannon & Reed at those internet sites, this Privacy Policy applies to Kincannon & Reed only. Please note when the URL indicates you are no longer on our website and read the privacy policy of each internet site that you visit. Kincannon & Reed is not responsible for the privacy practices of other organizations.

Kincannon & Reed’s secure corporate computer servers are located in the United States and Canada.
